Hendon Leisure Centre – based in Cricklewood – unveiled a newly refurbished gymnastics hall with state-of-the-art equipment on Sunday 6th September.
It means that the hall can now cater for the whole range of gymnastics from complete beginners to elite athletes.
It builds on Barnet Labour’s record in recent years that has seen unprecedented support for the borough’s leisure facilities.
- Revamping or opening 20 playgrounds
- Three parks brought up to Green Flag standard
- New 3 metre by 3 metre basketball courts in High Barnet and West Hendon
- Refurbishment of 39 tennis courts across our parks.
Cricklewood Councillor and Barnet Labour’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure, Arts and Sport, Cllr Anne Clarke said:
“Leisure and exercise activities in well-kept and cared-for facilities should be available across Barnet.
“The new gymnastics hall in Hendon Leisure Centre continues Barnet Labour’s work, that also includes transforming previously neglected spaces into pocket parks and attracting outside funding for projects like the tennis courts refurbishment.
“I can’t wait to see the hall buzzing with activity with a wide range of users.”
