Barnet Labour councillors have launched a petition save the Golders Green Post Office.
They will be working with local Labour MP, Sarah Sackman, on the campaign.
They will also be talking to Labour MP for Hornsey and Friern Barnet, Catherine West, who managed to maintain post office provision in Wood Green when there was the threat of any post office presence being withdrawn.

Councillor for Childs Hill ward, where Golders Green Post Office is based, Nigel Young said:
“Golders Green Post office is a lynchpin of our High Street. Closing it would be a blow to our local economy and community. Let’s fight together to keep it open and please sign the petition”.
The proposed closure is part of a planned programme of shutting 115 post offices, announced on Wednesday 13th November. The Cricklewood Post Office has also been placed under threat.
The Labour MP for Finchley and Golders Green, Sarah Sackman, said: “Post offices provide essential services for our community.
“This announcement is extremely concerning for people in Golders Green and Cricklewood, for residents and local businesses alike.
“I will continue to reach out to residents, activists and staff over the next few days to discuss how we can protect these much-needed services – and mitigate any potential impact on jobs.”
