On 13 August it will be 100 days since the local elections in May.
In that time, we have been working to deliver our Top 5 Pledges to you.
- We have declared a climate emergency and protected your green spaces.
- Proposed tougher Local Plan measures against tower block blight, and included a higher strategic affordable housing target of 50%.
- Protected your weekly bin collection service.
- Started work to upgrade the borough’s CCTV, provide neighbourhood Community Safety Hubs, and bring back the community skips service.
- And in September’s budget report, we will set out how we will refund the 1% Conservative council tax hike and keep next year’s council tax low.
