Parking is currently allowed on both sides of Neeld Crescent right down to the junction with Vivian Avenue, leaving no room for vehicles to pass each other.

That means any traffic coming down towards Vivian Avenue, blocks the way for traffic turning up into Neeld Crescent. As a result, vehicles attempting to make that turn are often obliged to back into Vivian Avenue, a busy bus route. This has been and continues to be a serious accident hazard.

Sevington Road directly opposite has parking limited to Business permit holders only; as a result traffic can flow freely.

Other traffic-easing measures, including alterations to pavements, would also help. However a change to parking restrictions on this very short stretch of road would be inexpensive and should largely solve the problem.

Dangerous junction: Neeld Crescent & Vivian Ave NW4

We, the undersigned, petition Barnet Council to conduct an urgent road safety study at the junction of Neeld Crescent and Vivian Avenue NW4 where there have been at least six accidents in the past year and many other incidents. We urge LB Barnet to address this problem including considering the option of restricted parking along a short length of Neeld Crescent.
