Representatives from the Thameslink and Great Northern Rail operator - Govia - will be attending the next Environment Committee meeting on 13 July to answer questions about cancellations and the poor level of service on these rail routes serving the borough.
Govia's attendance follows a member's item from West Hendon Labour councillor, Adam Langleben in October last year, which set out examples from a local resident of frequent cancellations on the Great Northern Rail.
Councillor Langleben said: "I'm glad that Govia will be attending the next Environment Committee on 13th July.
"They need to hear first hand just how bad Great Northern Rail and Thameslink services have been for commuters living in Barnet, and hopefully they will be able to say what they are doing about it.
"I encourage any residents who use these services to come along to the meeting, and if they wish, to submit public questions or make comments to the Committee on their experience of them.
